Ingredients:
Milk
Yeast
Sugar
Eggs
Butter
Salt
Vanilla Extract
Nutmeg
Flour
2 cups of sifted confectioners’ sugar.
â…“ cup of heavy cream.
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Recipe:
Whisk together the warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl. Cover the bowl loosely, at let it sit for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy and frothy on the top. If you aren’t using a mixer, take a spatula and mix the dough together, however ,it will be tough. If using a mixer, place into mixer and mix until blended. Next, add eggs, butter, vanilla, nutmeg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Beat the mixture on low speed for about a minute. Keep adding flour as necessary to create slightly sticky dough. Next, knead the dough by hand for 5-7 minutes, or keep it in the mixer for 5-7 minutes. Then, lightly grease a large bowl with oil. Place the dough into the bowl, coating all sides in the oil. Cover the bowl in warm temperatures for around 1.5-2 Hours. Next, once the dough is ready, punch it down to release any air. Remove the dough from the bowl and turn it onto a floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough until it is around ½ inch thick. Next, using a doughnut cutter, cut your dough into doughnuts. Take any scraps and roll them again to create even more doughnuts. Line 1 or 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Place your doughnuts on each piece of paper. Loosely cover, and allow it to rest for 30 minutes. In the meantime, heat up some oil in a large pot. Once the oil has reached around 375 degrees Fahrenheit, start adding 2 donuts at a time to the oil. Cook each side for 1 minute and remove. Repeat this process for all donuts. Remember to keep a consistent oil temperature throughout. Next, whisk your cream, vanilla extract, and confectioners sugar into a bowl. Dip each doughnut into the glaze. Make sure to coat each side. Then, place it back onto a rack and let sit for 20 minutes. Enjoy!
Coffee Cake

This will replace any addictions of coffee and become your new one!
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour
Sugar
Baking powder
Cinnamon
Butter
Milk
Egg
Vanilla
To make the streusel topping combine the sugars, flour, and cinnamon into a bowl and mix well. Add the cold cubes of butter and use a fork (or your hands) to mix in the butter. You should see crumbles start to form, that’s what you want. Set it aside. (a food processor would work as well)In a separate bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and use a whisk to mix well. Add the butter and blend well, scraping down the sides of the bowl. To the same bowl, add the milk, egg, and vanilla extract and stir until the flour mixture barely blends. Do not overmix! Pour half the cake batter into the greased 8 x8 square baking dish and sprinkle a thin layer of the prepared crumb topping across the batter. Add the remaining batter into the baking dish then sprinkle the remaining layer of streusel on the top of the cake. Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes. Check for doneness using a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, it’s done! Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing it into 9 squares and enjoy.
